Meet me, Lauren Klein
With over 18 years experience as a personal trainer, strength coach, and corrective exercise specialist – Lauren is a trusted and sought after leader in the wellness space.
Lauren is the founder of Postpartum Integrated Body Sculpting. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning in 2009, from Springfield College.
As an undergraduate, she studied pre-med – but decided not to apply for medical school because she was more passionate about preventing injuries and illnesses than treating ones that could have been avoided.
She is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Stretch Specialist and Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach.
A former celebrity trainer at an exclusive Manhattan facility, Lauren has coached personalities from the Today Show and worked out with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Lauren has also worked in an exercise-based recovery center for spinal cord injuries, helping quadriplegics and paraplegics get stronger and learn to walk again. She also has extensive experience with neurological illnesses like Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis.
As a mom of 3, she’s an expert in pregnancy and postpartum fitness. She really struggled to lose the baby weight after her first child, and now she uses her experience to help other women get fast results and feel beautiful after pregnancy without getting mommy makeover surgery.
The credentials mean nothing, though, compared to the results her clients get – hundreds of pounds lost, movement recovered, pain gone, paralysis overcome and so much more.
She currently resides in Northern Virginia with her 3 kids and her husband, James.
I’m not someone who naturally feels and looks great after birth.
After my first baby, I came home from the hospital feeling swollen from head to toe, with tearing that hurt like heck (for a year!), diastasis and feeling so very weak.
I thought the baby weight would come off after birth, but turns out I was way more hungry and dysregulated from breastfeeding than I ever was while pregnant. I felt out of control. I was eating brownies for lunch and having two glasses of wine after dinner every night.
With my second pregnancy, I developed Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism and serious vascular issues that required me to wear pressure stockings from my toes to the top of my belly. I went on to have 6 different vascular surgeries, postpartum, ultimately being diagnosed with May Thurner syndrome.
But I cracked the code, recovering from that first pregnancy and cutting my body recovery time by more than half for my next two pregnancies.
No more crazy cravings.
No more bone-deep exhaustion.
No more pregnancy aches and pains that make it impossible move.
And now, I’m passing on my method as Postpartum Integrated Body Sculpting.
Which is both ridiculous and totally appropriate, because how much of motherhood do we spend looking like house gremlins in our pajamas pr our husband’s sweatpants and a high mom bun?
But these pajamas were something more. They were my attempt at elevating the smaller moments of life, and seeing my life through rose colored glasses.
They were an attempt at reclaiming myself from the chaos of motherhood.
Soft, silk pajamas covered in luxurious palm fronds, hibiscus flowers and… tigers.
Tigers are often associated with motherhood.
A woman’s stretch marks are often called “Tiger stripes.”
As the saying goes, “a tiger earns their stripes” and we have certainly earned them by growing, birthing and raising children.
TigerGlow Wellness is a celebration of motherhood, and the fact that mothers can be beautiful, strong and fierce.
It’s a statement that our old bodies may be gone, but we can build something new and different – and even more strong and beautiful.
